Hearst Castle Holiday Feast

luxury. The Silver Anniversary of the Friends of Hearst Castle was a holiday celebration reflective of twenty-five enchanted years of splendor on display!  

The guests were chauffeured in limousines to the courtyard of the castle for an hour of delights beneath the stars.  A towering 50 foot tall tent encapsulated the east entrance to the Morning Room, featuring the majestic balcony of the Doge’s Suite and its detailed, four-leaf arches.  Guests adorned in all their finery were greeted with a vision of a crystallized splendor evoking a snowy winter wonderland.   

Next they were invited into the castle's Refectory for the extravagant, seven-course dinner.  The Imperial styling of Russian royalty was the inspiration for the palette of the annual Holiday Feast.  Deep hues of ruby and garnet infused the palette along with accents of rich gold reflecting the baronial splendor of aristocratic opulence.  Each table was appointed with deep crimson velvet linens with intricate gold detail and spun gold napkins.  The guests were seated in burnished gold mahogany Versailles chairs with gold cushions creating a setting worthy of royalty.

SUMMER JOY + DEREK

time.  Tucked amongst the towering pine trees in Cambria is the historical Santa Rosa Chapel. It takes you right back to the turn of the century in a coastal village...a romantic woodland setting fed by the ethereal fog of the North coast.  The bride, Summer Joy, grew up in Cambria and was in love with the beauty that surrounded her memories.  The Fog's End barn, just on the edge of the village was made warm and inviting for the reception with candlelight and organic details, embracing a nostalgic glimpse of the past.

With the crispness of fall in the air, another season is upon us.  Timeworn traditions that we cherish are fresh once again.  Cheers!
